About me
Leigh has more than thirty years’ experience in the Insurance and Investment Banking sectors having held roles in Finance, Risk and Business Origination, including Chief Risk Officer for Standard Bank Asia and Asset Manager for Corporate & Investment Banking International at Standard Bank. In 2013 he co-founded an FCA regulated financial advisory and structuring firm, Alkebulan, where he focused on originating investment opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa suitable for the international investor community. In 2018 he joined Munich Re’s newly mandated Epidemic Risk Solutions team with responsibility for new business development, including the creation and scale up of a new hedging market for pandemic risk. Leigh is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). He has a B.A. Hons in Economics and gained an MBA from Bayes Business School, London.
