About me
I have over 37 years experience working in treasury. I joined Wolseley in April 2002, which was renamed Ferguson in 2017, and was responsible for managing the group’s daily debt and cash requirements.
After adopting a few roles within Treasury in my time at Ferguson, I am currently responsible for the UK intercompany loans structure as well as the Group’s Treasury Technology. As the main Treasury operations have moved to the US, I also provide strategic support to the US team on ad-hoc projects.
I am a senior lecturer at the Centre for Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE) on Generative AI in Corporate Treasury, and I appear on a monthly panel of Treasury Dragons reviewing the latest Treasury Fintech solutions.
I previously worked at Sky, Gillette, PolyGram, Seagram, and Vivendi Universal.
Ferguson have won a few awards for the treasury technology we have implemented to date, including the 2018 TMI Awards for Innovation and Excellence with a Corporate Recognition Award for our “Future proofing Treasury” project.
I also won the Adam Smith award on behalf of Ferguson for the “Best Cyber-Security Solution” in 2019 and most recently, the Treasury Today Highly Commended, “Champion of Change – EMEA” Award for 2025.
